Performance Greater than my Promises

Theme for the Year: Lord, in 2010, help
me to make my Performance Greater than
my Promises through Obedience and with
Thanksgiving!

Scriptures: 2 Chronicles 20:20-22
2 Chronicles 17:1-13; Psalm 34:1
2 Chronicles 20:1-30; 1 Peter 2:9

Thought: Appointed and stablish to go and praise
the Lord.

Points brought out in message:
• Establish: found, fix and settled; verify; to make stable; to make good; to settle oneself in a position.
• Appointed: to nominate or assign to a position; set apart; to ordain.
• Praises pleases God more than all burnt offering or sacrifices.
• God never gets angry at the praises of his people. God enjoys praises.
• Jehoshaphat was one of the good kings as his father before him.
• Jehoshaphat‘s heart was lifted up in the ways of the Lord.
• Sometimes young folk don’t want to take counsel from the older folks.
• Prayer and praise are powerful.
• God’s promises are great but God’s performance is greater than his promises.
• When we come to church and don’t praise him that does not please God. When we began the work of praise God began the work of deliverance.
• Prayer and praise is both personal and cooperate. No one can stop us from praising God.
