Theme for the Year: Lord, in 2010, help
me to make my Performance Greater than
my Promises through Obedience and
with Thanksgiving!
Scripture: ! Corinthians 1:10 Acts 2:1-3
Acts 3:1-7; Romans12:1-2; Exodus 35:1-10
Exodus 36:4-7
Thought: We’re all in this faithful and willing together. We are God’s team to do God’s work .
Points brought out in sermon:
•The harvest is plenteous, but the laborers are few. We want the pay but we don’t want to work for the pay, but God has some faithful workers in his vineyard.
•The Bible say one can put a thousand to flight and two can put ten thousand to flight. Just think what 4 or 6 or more can do.
•Together Everyone Accomplish More. (TEAM)
•We can do great things when we are workers together.
•On the day of Pentecost they were in one place on one accord, but nothing happened until they got on one accord.
•When we get on one accord there will be no doubting Thomas. We will have one mind, one determination, one team working together. All division is gone, all big I’s and little us are gone out the window.

make my Performance Greater than my
Promises through Obedience and
with Thanksgiving!
Sermon by Elder Ivin D. Myles
Scriptures: St. John 3:16; St. John 13:34-35;
St. Matthews 24:4-13;
Revelations 2:1-5;1 Corinthians 13:1-8; 1 John 4:7-8
Thought: What matters most is LOVE because it’s all about LOVE.
Points brought out in sermon:
• God gave his Son for love and the Son gave his life for love.
• The mark of a true Christian is LOVE.
• Love does not force itself on anybody.
• Love isn’t always about me first. It considers the other person
• Love doesn’t keep score of others sins. Love causes you to check yourself,
and pray for your brothers and sisters.
• Love takes pleasure in truth. Truth will make the crooked way straight.
• Love is powerful. All of us can get more love on board.
• Love always trusts God. Love looks for the best in others.
• Love is a command. Love is a choice. We choose to love or not to love.
• Love is a conduct, behavior, and action word. It’ what we do.

Sermon - Sunday March 14, 2010
Theme for the Year: Lord, in 2010, help
me to make my Performance Greater than
my Promises through Obedience and with
Thanksgiving
Scriptures St. Luke 21:25-28
2 Timothy 3:1-5 Psalm 121:1-4
Thought: In the midst of a downward trend the
Saints of God have an upward look and a forward march
Points brought out in sermon:
•The economy is on a downward trend. People are trying their best to turn things around but God’s word said it must be this way and His word will be fulfilled.
•In the midst of this trouble the saints shouldn’t be looking around, or looking down but we should be looking to God.
•This world is out of man’s control but it is not out of God’s control. Capitol Hill is puzzled at what is happening, the White House is no help. Only the Lord Jesus Christ is in control.
•God allows these things to come to pass that his word be fulfill.
•I believe the coming of the Lord is soon at hand. God will get the attention of man.
•Men are lovers of their own selves. Not caring about anyone except themselves
•Folk will hate you for doing good, for living holy. They want to make you feel bad about living right..

Performance Greater than my Promises
Theme for the Year: Lord, in 2010, help
me to make my Performance Greater than
my Promises through Obedience and with
Thanksgiving!
Scriptures: 2 Chronicles 20:20-22
2 Chronicles 17:1-13; Psalm 34:1
2 Chronicles 20:1-30; 1 Peter 2:9
Thought: Appointed and stablish to go and praise
the Lord.
Points brought out in message:
• Establish: found, fix and settled; verify; to make stable; to make good; to settle oneself in a position.
• Appointed: to nominate or assign to a position; set apart; to ordain.
• Praises pleases God more than all burnt offering or sacrifices.
• God never gets angry at the praises of his people. God enjoys praises.
• Jehoshaphat was one of the good kings as his father before him.
• Jehoshaphat‘s heart was lifted up in the ways of the Lord.
• Sometimes young folk don’t want to take counsel from the older folks.
• Prayer and praise are powerful.
• God’s promises are great but God’s performance is greater than his promises.
• When we come to church and don’t praise him that does not please God. When we began the work of praise God began the work of deliverance.
• Prayer and praise is both personal and cooperate. No one can stop us from praising God.

Sermon - Sunday January 4, 2010
Theme for the year: Lord, in 2010, help me to make my performance greater than my promises by obedience and with thanksgiving.
Scriptures: Psalms:
116:12-14
Psalms 100:1-5
Luke17:11-19; Luke 19:12-27
Points brought out in sermon:
•I love the Lord, because he heard my cry when I was in trouble and desperation and he delivered me.
•We must have that love for the Lord, God’s love (the (agape love) not fleshly man’s love.
•We make God so many promises and than don’t fulfill them. Every year we make our New Years resolutions and forget them before the day is over.
•God is looking to see our actions.
•We have so many sad saints. We’ve got heaven to look forward to; Jesus to see, we ought to be glad about our salvation.
•We are to be a light and witness to the world. We should come into the gates with thanksgiving and enter into his courts (church) with praise.

Where He Wants Me To Be
Scripture: Philippians 1:6, St. John 10:1-17; 25-29, Acts 1:4-8
Thought: I’m not where I ought to be, I’m not where I want to be, I’m not where I use to be, but I’m confident that God is working in me to bring me where He wants me to be.
Points brought out in sermon:
- There’s a difference in the voice of the Lord and the voice of the devil.
- God’s child will flee from the voice of a stranger.
- If God started a good work in you, He will make His way plain unto you. God chose us from the foundation of the world.
- The devil comes to steal, kill and destroy you. Jesus came that you might have life.
- I’m glad that Jesus paid that debt sin for me.
- The devil tries to break your relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ.
- Jesus said there are other sheep out there that He must bring in, so we must sound the gospel.
- I want to know the Lord in time, so He will know me in eternity.
- Your power of yourself is not sufficient to overcome the devil. It takes only the power of the Holy Ghost to defeat the adversary.
